Role Objectives
The Agile Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects involving multiple cross-functional Agile squads. This role focuses on aligning project execution with business objectives, managing timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, proficiency in Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
The Agile Project Manager is also expected to gain a solid understanding of the business domain they support. This ensures alignment between project deliverables and the strategic needs of the business area, and enables more effective prioritization, communication, and value realization.
Roles & Responsibilities
Own and drive the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives involving multiple Agile squads.
Define, manage, and track project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Coordinate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and squad leads to ensure effective resource planning and alignment.
Manage cross-team dependencies, identify risks early, and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth delivery.
Create and maintain project plans, delivery roadmaps, RAID logs, and communication artifacts.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies at the project level (e.g., cross-squad planning, release coordination).
Ensure consistent status reporting to stakeholders and leadership with clear visibility into progress and blockers.
Support release management by coordinating cut-offs, regression timelines, and stakeholder sign-offs.
Lead and participate in project retrospectives and help implement delivery-focused improvements across teams.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills
3 to 5 years of experience managing projects using Agile delivery frameworks in a software development environment.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Proven ability to manage cross-squad delivery, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and project tracking dashboards.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across functional groups.
